pub enum CriticalFailureRecovery {
RevokeReadiness,
FailService,
FailAndRequestShutdown,
}Expand description
How a handled critical task failure affects the service.
The choice belongs to the business: the runtime only guarantees that readiness is revoked and that the failure reaches the handler.
Variants§
RevokeReadiness
Revoke dependency readiness and keep serving.
Use this when the failed work is not required for the process to answer traffic correctly and the caller handles the consequence elsewhere.
FailService
Revoke readiness and mark the service failed.
FailAndRequestShutdown
Revoke readiness, mark the service failed, and request an ordered shutdown.
The first request wins, so this cannot extend or replace a shutdown that already started.
