PeerCeiling

Struct PeerCeiling

Source
pub struct PeerCeiling {
    pub edition: Edition,
    pub dtypes: HashSet<DType>,
    pub capabilities: HashMap<String, String>,
    pub max_message_size: usize,
}
Expand description

What one served peer can decode, learned at its handshake. The driver checks every payload it relays against the target leg’s ceiling through the session’s RelayPolicy, not against the session edition alone.

Fields§

§edition: Edition

The highest edition this peer and this build both implement, which may exceed the session edition (workflow_edition).

§dtypes: HashSet<DType>§capabilities: HashMap<String, String>

What the peer advertised; query with rlmesh_proto::has_capability.

§max_message_size: usize

The largest message the peer accepts, in bytes.

Implementations§

Source§

impl PeerCeiling

Source

pub fn highest_shared_edition(supported: &[String]) -> Option<Edition>

The highest edition this build retains among a peer’s advertised supported names, or None when they share none.

Source

pub fn wire_v1( edition: Edition, capabilities: HashMap<String, String>, max_message_size: usize, ) -> Self

A wire-v1 peer’s ceiling. Wire-v1 advertises no dtype set, so a peer decodes every dtype the wire defines.
