#[non_exhaustive]pub enum AttestationKind {
HardwareCertChain,
TpmQuote,
Pkcs11Attributes,
}Expand description
The kind of attestation evidence a backend can produce.
Variants (Non-exhaustive)§
This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
HardwareCertChain
Vendor cert chain proving on-device generation. Independently verifiable
against a public manufacturer root CA.
Examples: YubiKey F9 attestation, Thales Luna PKC (Public Key Confirmation).
TpmQuote
TPM signed quote over PCR values with nonce. Proves platform state.
Pkcs11Attributes
PKCS#11 attribute flags: CKA_ALWAYS_SENSITIVE=true + CKA_NEVER_EXTRACTABLE=true.
Trustworthy within the HSM’s trust boundary but not independently
cryptographically verifiable.
