#[non_exhaustive]#[repr(i32)]pub enum SockType {
Stream = 1,
Datagram = 2,
SeqPacket = 5,
Raw = 3,
Rdm = 4,
}Expand description
Specifies the communication semantics (socket type).
This corresponds to the type argument in socket(2).
Variants (Non-exhaustive)§
This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
Stream = 1
Provides sequenced, reliable, two-way, connection- based byte streams. An out-of-band data transmission mechanism may be supported.
Datagram = 2
Supports datagrams (connectionless, unreliable messages of a fixed maximum length).
SeqPacket = 5
Provides a sequenced, reliable, two-way connection- based data transmission path for datagrams of fixed maximum length; a consumer is required to read an entire packet with each input system call.
Raw = 3
Provides raw network protocol access.
Rdm = 4
Provides a reliable datagram layer that does not guarantee ordering.
