Crate rightkit_send

Expand description

Nearby sharing over the open LocalSend protocol v2 (github.com/localsend/protocol), with the Pulse extensions (pulse key in prepare-upload, px in Bonjour TXT).

Service is a long-running object a host owns: it announces this device, keeps a list of nearby devices, receives files over HTTPS after the owner accepts, and sends files to a chosen device. The host supplies a stored Identity, the trust store path, the folders and the wording of anything it shows; it hears about changes through the Event callback and reads Service::snapshot. Errors are typed (Error); no user-facing English is produced here.

Re-exports§

pub use net::Identity;
pub use send::Entry;
pub use send::Peer;
pub use send::SendItem;
pub use trust::TrustEntry;
pub use trust::TrustState;

Modules§

net
Transport for the LocalSend protocol: a self-signed TLS identity, rustls streams, and the small slice of HTTP/1.1 the protocol needs. Every connection carries one request and is closed after the response.
proto
LocalSend protocol v2 wire types and the file-name rules for received files.
send
Sending: prepare-upload to a peer, then each accepted file as an upload.
trust
Per-device trust for nearby sharing: every device seen on the network or in a request has one record, and the owner sets it to Allow, Ask or Deny.

Structs§

Config
What the host configures. Every string here is the host’s own choice: the crate never names a product.
Device
A device on the network.
Incoming
A request waiting for the user’s answer.
IncomingFile
Policy
SendStatus
Runtime figures of a running service, computed on call by Service::status.
Service
A running sharing service. Dropping it stops it.
Snapshot
Transfer
One send or receive, from the first request to the last byte.
