Which proxy source a client actually ended up with, as opposed to the ProxyMode it was asked for. Differs from the request only for ProxyMode::System when the operating system configures automatic detection and nothing else.

Variants

Direct

Connects directly (ProxyMode::None, a first-party bypass, or System/Environment with nothing configured anywhere).

Environment

The environment proxy variables (ProxyMode::Environment, or System with no operating-system proxy configured).

Explicit

The proxy of ProxyMode::Explicit.

System

The operating system’s static proxy, followed exactly.

SystemFallbackEnvironment

System was requested and the operating system configures automatic detection only (no static proxy, no PAC script); the environment proxy variables are used.
