What became of one attempt’s bytes, for AttemptOutcome. It tells a caller whether replaying a non-idempotent request could repeat a side effect.

Variants

Responded

The server answered; status and headers are set.

NotSent

Nothing reached the server: the failure is in the connect phase, or a policy refused the destination before anything was sent.

Uncertain

The request may have reached the server (a post-connect transport failure, a timeout after sending, a cancellation mid-flight). Such a POST is never replayed automatically; see Request::retry_unsafe_statuses.
