ExitAction

Enum ExitAction

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub enum ExitAction { Default, Final, AdoptForeign(AdoptedIdentity), }
Expand description

What the supervisor does after a child exited by itself (SupervisorHooks::exit_action).

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

Default

The restart policy decides (the default).

§

Final

This exit is final: nothing restarts and the supervisor ends in SupervisorState::Stopped. The supervising process reads the code from SupervisorHandle::final_exit and exits with it, so launchd and the notches see the child’s own disposition (0, 70, 75, …) (rightkit#936 b20).

§

AdoptForeign(AdoptedIdentity)

The child exited on purpose after forwarding to an instance that already runs (a second launch of a single-instance app). Supervise that instance by identity instead: liveness only (no probe, it is not this supervisor’s child), never signalled. When it is gone the restart policy decides (rightkit#936 b2).
