MigrationReport

Struct MigrationReport

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub struct MigrationReport { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

What AppRoot::migrate_from_with did: the MigrationOutcome plus what an opt-in migration did with links, special files and reparse points. The lists describe this call’s work only (they are empty when the outcome is NothingToMigrate; the state file holds the record of an earlier call). The one exception is a rerun that retries the omissions of a ReadyWithOmissions migration: its migrated_links are the links created now, and omitted_optional_links and skipped_reparse_points are what is still unresolved.

Implementations§

Source§

impl MigrationReport

Source

pub fn state(&self) -> MigrationState

How far the migration got. A returned report is Ready or ReadyWithOmissions; an incomplete migration is an error, and its state is read with AppRoot::migration_state.

Source

pub fn skipped_reparse_points(&self) -> &[SkippedReparsePoint]

Junctions and other Windows reparse points skipped on request (see MigrateOptions::skip_reparse_points). None is ever followed, copied or recreated.

Source

pub fn outcome(&self) -> &MigrationOutcome

The same value migrate_from returns.

Source

pub fn into_outcome(self) -> MigrationOutcome

Symlinks recreated in the app root (as link entries, never followed).

Source

pub fn skipped_specials(&self) -> &[SkippedSpecial]

Sockets and FIFOs skipped (see MigrateOptions::skip_ephemeral_specials).

Links the caller’s policy marked optional and that could not be created. A required link that cannot be created is an error instead (AppRootError::link_not_created).

Source

pub fn complete(&self) -> bool

True only for MigrationState::Ready: false when an optional link was omitted or a reparse point was skipped. Skipped ephemeral specials (sockets, FIFOs) do not make a migration incomplete. For AlreadyMigrated this is the value the earlier state recorded.
