A tool or model call that a tool call started, or one of those started, as a renderer sees it (ToolCallView::children).

Fields

depth: usize

How far below the call it is: 0 for one the call started itself.

call: Option<ToolCall>

The tool call, or None for a model call.

name: String

The tool’s name, or the model’s catalog reference (vendor/model), or model before it is known.

agent: Option<String>

The name of the agent it is for, such as a subagent’s.

state: CallState

Where it stands; a model call is CallState::Streaming while its reply streams in.

failed: bool

Whether it failed: a tool’s error result, or a model call’s error.

answer: Option<String>

Its answer, once it has one: a tool’s result, a model’s reply, or why it failed, whole.
