#[non_exhaustive]pub struct ReasoningSupport {
pub supported: bool,
pub levels: Vec<Effort>,
pub budget: Option<RangeInclusive<u32>>,
pub can_disable: bool,
pub default: Option<Effort>,
}Expand description
The reasoning a model takes. A row that marks a model as reasoning but
lists no reasoning options (193 rows of the built-in catalog, most of
them gateway rows on HuggingFace, OpenRouter, Venice and Bedrock) has no
levels, no budget and cannot disable, so ModelSpec::validate refuses
every effort, every budget and Off on it; unlike CacheSupport,
empty here does not mean unknown.
Fields (Non-exhaustive)§
This struct is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive structs could have additional fields added in future. Therefore, non-exhaustive structs cannot be constructed in external crates using the traditional
Struct { .. } syntax; cannot be matched against without a wildcard ..; and struct update syntax will not work.supported: boolWhether the model reasons at all.
levels: Vec<Effort>The effort levels it takes, empty when it takes none.
budget: Option<RangeInclusive<u32>>The reasoning-token budgets it takes, if it takes one.
can_disable: boolWhether a request can turn its reasoning off.
default: Option<Effort>The effort it uses when a request names none, if documented.
