Authoritative status code carried for a public error on the gRPC wire.

Transport adapters map this closed set to their native status type. It is intentionally separate from ErrorClass: class is the protocol-neutral classification, while this value is the exact wire status both server and client must agree on.

InvalidArgument

The submitted request is invalid and must be corrected.

AlreadyExists

The request conflicts with previously admitted state.

PermissionDenied

The principal is not permitted to perform the operation.

DeadlineExceeded

The operation did not complete before its deadline.

FailedPrecondition

The request targets state that is no longer current.

ResourceExhausted

Capacity or resource bounds rejected the request without execution.

Unavailable

A required service is temporarily unavailable.

Unknown

The caller must resolve an uncertain command result.

Internal

The server encountered a defect that is not safe to disclose.
