BuildInfoPlan

Struct BuildInfoPlan

Source
pub struct BuildInfoPlan {
    pub header: [u8; 1024],
    pub insert: u64,
    pub tail_start: u64,
    pub new_len: u64,
}
Expand description

Everything needed to splice a build-info section into a finished file without holding the file in memory: the rewritten header, where the section goes, and where the bytes that do not move resume.

See plan_build_info for what the fields mean together; the layout is always [header][metadata][build info][everything else, verbatim].

Fields§

§header: [u8; 1024]

The header bytes to write at offset 0.

§insert: u64

Offset the new section is written at — equivalently, the length of the unchanged [header][metadata] prefix.

§tail_start: u64

Offset in the old file where the bytes that do not move resume. The span insert..tail_start is the old build-info section, if any, and is the only part of the old file the new one drops.

§new_len: u64

Length of the file this plan produces.
