All variants surface at codegen / host-prep time, never at runtime; the binary layout is fully static.

UnsupportedTypeInLayoutV1

The schema references a type the v1 layout does not yet model. Type shapes that still have no host-visible v1 binary layout live in this bucket.

UnsupportedListElement

List<T> with an element type the v1 layout declines. The error spells out the inner kind so the host SDK can surface a precise message.

Cumulative offset overflowed usize. Astronomically unlikely on 64-bit hosts but cheap to model so the layout pass never quietly wraps.
