Why a requested cascade source was refused and the node fell back to the primary. Surfaced (not swallowed) so a misconfiguration is observable rather than a silent performance cliff.

VotingMemberDirectOnly
The node is on the durability path; a voting member always streams directly from the primary (ADR 0030).
SelfReference
The requested intermediate is the node itself — a node cannot cascade from its own slot.
