MulticodecOperationError

Enum MulticodecOperationError

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub enum MulticodecOperationError { UnknownName, InvalidPrefix, RegistryInvariant, AllocationFailure, }
Expand description

Semantic failure reasons for multicodec lookup operations.

The display strings are fixed and do not include caller input. Boundary adapters map these reasons into their public typed error contracts.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

UnknownName

The requested name is not present in the supported registry.

§

InvalidPrefix

The input does not start with a supported multicodec prefix.

§

RegistryInvariant

Primitive registry metadata violated an executor invariant.

§

AllocationFailure

The bounded semantic result could not reserve its required storage.
