Fields (Non-exhaustive)

Non-exhaustive structs could have additional fields added in future. Therefore, non-exhaustive structs cannot be constructed in external crates using the traditional Struct { .. } syntax; cannot be matched against without a wildcard ..; and struct update syntax will not work.

msg: String

Human-readable error message.

line: u32

1-indexed line number where the error was detected.

col: u32

1-indexed column number (in bytes, not graphemes — sufficient for source-error purposes; human debugging uses the source text).

pos: usize

Byte offset into the input for tooling.

hint: Option<String>

Optional suggestion for how to fix.
