Variants

Literal

A fixed string: the segment matches exactly one literal value.

Dynamic

Within-segment dynamic (a capture/wildcard or optional element) still bound to exactly one path segment.

CatchAll

A whole-segment catch-all ({*} / {*name}) spanning 1+ segments.
