Skeleton

Struct Skeleton

Source
pub struct Skeleton { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

A placeholder in the shape of content that is on its way: text lines, an avatar or a block.

Shapes are drawn in a quiet tone, and the signature sweep passes over them: a band of light that moves across the screen once per motion.shimmer, blended cell by cell. The band is placed by screen column, so skeletons side by side share one sweep. With reduced motion the shapes stand still. Text lines are drawn in the upper half of each row so lines read apart; ASCII mode fills whole cells.

Style keys: skeleton (bg for the shapes, highlight for the light).

Implementations§

Source§

impl Skeleton

Source

pub fn lines(count: u16) -> Self

count lines of text of varied widths, the last one short, like a paragraph.

Source

pub fn avatar() -> Self

A two-cell avatar or icon.

Source

pub fn block() -> Self

A block that fills the area it gets: a chart, an image, a card. Three rows unless its node is given a height.

impl<Msg: 'static> Widget<Msg> for Skeleton

Source§

fn measure(&self, _cx: &mut MeasureCx<'_>, available: Size) -> Size

The size the widget wants when it may use up to available.
Source§

fn paint(&self, cx: &mut PaintCx<'_>, area: Rect)

Draws the widget into area.
Source§

fn paint_overlay(&self, _cx: &mut PaintCx<'_>, _anchor: Rect)

Draws the widget’s overlay after the whole view was painted, when it asked for one with PaintCx::request_overlay. anchor is the area the widget was painted in.
Source§

fn event(&self, _cx: &mut EventCx<'_, Msg>, _event: &Event) -> bool

Handles input. Returns true when the event was used; unused key and scroll events bubble to the parent widget.
Source§

fn focusable(&self) -> bool

Whether the widget can take keyboard focus.
Source§

fn children(&self) -> &[Node<Msg>]

Child nodes, for widgets that contain other widgets.
Source§

fn children_mut(&mut self) -> &mut [Node<Msg>]

Mutable child nodes, used to assign ids.
