Struct Markdown

Source
pub struct Markdown { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

Rendered Markdown: headings with the accent pillar, wrapped paragraphs, lists, quotes and highlighted code blocks. Horizontal rules become space, never a drawn line.

The document is a text selection region: a mouse drag selects inside it (turn it off with NodeMut::selectable). Clean copies leave out the pillars of headings and quotes with the cell after them, and the padding and line numbers of code blocks.

Building one in view every frame is cheap: the last few documents parsed on a thread are remembered by their source text, together with how they were laid out at the last few widths, so an unchanged document is neither parsed nor wrapped again.

Style keys: markdown-heading.h1|h2|h3 (fg, bold, pillar), markdown-text, markdown-strong, markdown-emphasis, markdown-code, markdown-link, markdown-bullet, markdown-quote (fg, pillar), code and code-token.<kind> for code blocks.

Implementations§

Source§

impl Markdown

Source

pub fn new(source: &str) -> Self

Parses source, or reuses the document parsed from the same source a moment ago.

Trait Implementations§

Source§

impl<Msg: 'static> Widget<Msg> for Markdown

Source§

fn measure(&self, cx: &mut MeasureCx<'_>, available: Size) -> Size

The size the widget wants when it may use up to available.
Source§

fn paint(&self, cx: &mut PaintCx<'_>, area: Rect)

Draws the widget into area.
Source§

fn paint_overlay(&self, _cx: &mut PaintCx<'_>, _anchor: Rect)

Draws the widget’s overlay after the whole view was painted, when it asked for one with PaintCx::request_overlay. anchor is the area the widget was painted in.
Source§

fn event(&self, _cx: &mut EventCx<'_, Msg>, _event: &Event) -> bool

Handles input. Returns true when the event was used; unused key and scroll events bubble to the parent widget.
Source§

fn focusable(&self) -> bool

Whether the widget can take keyboard focus.
Source§

fn children(&self) -> &[Node<Msg>]

Child nodes, for widgets that contain other widgets.
Source§

fn children_mut(&mut self) -> &mut [Node<Msg>]

Mutable child nodes, used to assign ids.
