Struct Settings

pub struct Settings { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

The settings screen’s state.

Implementations§

Source§

impl Settings

Source

pub fn new(config: &Config, engine: EngineState) -> Self

A settings screen showing what config holds, including every repair its file needed, with engine as the last check left it. The profiles are not read yet.

Source

pub fn with_update_notice(self, on: Option<bool>) -> Self

The same screen, showing the family’s update notice as on; None shows no row, which is a machine with no family folder to keep the switch in.

Source

pub fn update_notice(&self) -> Option<bool>

The family’s update notice as the screen shows it.

Source

pub fn with_service(self, row: Option<ServiceRow>) -> Self

The same screen, showing the background service as row says; None shows no row.

Source

pub fn service(&self) -> Option<ServiceRow>

What the screen shows about the background service.

Source

pub fn with_left_behind(self, files: Vec<Diagnostic>) -> Self

The same screen, also reporting files: what an earlier version left behind — a settings file that stayed where it was when the settings moved to the family’s folder, a folder of the store that could not be given the name it has today — each with the reason.

They add up rather than replace one another: the two are found at different moments of the start, and the person has read neither.

Source

pub fn left_behind(&self) -> &[Diagnostic]

The old settings files the screen still has to report, so a screen made again from new settings keeps the news the person has not read yet.

Source

pub fn engine(&self) -> &EngineState

The engine as the last check left it, for the repair strip.

Source

pub fn gate(&self) -> Gate

Whether the actions that reach into a container may be used, and why not when they may not. Screens outside settings use the same gate, so a dead action means the same thing everywhere.

Source

pub fn chosen_profile(&self) -> Option<&ProfileIdentity>

The profile the identity actions work on.

impl<T> Downcast for T
where T: Any,

Source§

fn into_any(self: Box<T>) -> Box<dyn Any>

Convert Box<dyn Trait> (where Trait: Downcast) to Box<dyn Any>. Box<dyn Any> can then be further downcast into Box<ConcreteType> where ConcreteType implements Trait.
Source§

fn into_any_rc(self: Rc<T>) -> Rc<dyn Any>

Convert Rc<Trait> (where Trait: Downcast) to Rc<Any>. Rc<Any> can then be further downcast into Rc<ConcreteType> where ConcreteType implements Trait.
Source§

fn as_any(&self) -> &(dyn Any + 'static)

Convert &Trait (where Trait: Downcast) to &Any. This is needed since Rust cannot generate &Any’s vtable from &Trait’s.
Source§

fn as_any_mut(&mut self) -> &mut (dyn Any + 'static)

Convert &mut Trait (where Trait: Downcast) to &Any. This is needed since Rust cannot generate &mut Any’s vtable from &mut Trait’s.

Source§

fn into_any_arc(self: Arc<T>) -> Arc<dyn Any + Send + Sync> ⓘ

Convert Arc<Trait> (where Trait: Downcast) to Arc<Any>. Arc<Any> can then be further downcast into Arc<ConcreteType> where ConcreteType implements Trait.
