#[non_exhaustive] because new role bytes may be added in future protocol revisions; a future revision might also promote a known Other(_) byte to a named variant. Both should be additive.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)

Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
