CopyFailure

Struct CopyFailure

Source
pub struct CopyFailure { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

A copy error with publication state, partial statistics, and optional writer recovery.

§Examples

The example runs against an isolated in-memory fixture. Applications obtain their configured facade from a provider or registry integration.

use qubit_fs::Path;
use qubit_fs::copy::CopyOptions;
use qubit_fs::copy::CopyFailureState;

let failure = filesystem.copy(
    &Path::parse("/missing")?, &Path::parse("/copy")?, CopyOptions::default(),
).expect_err("the fixture has no source");
assert_eq!(CopyFailureState::Unchanged, failure.state());
assert_eq!(0, failure.partial_stats().bytes);
assert!(!failure.has_recovery());

Implementations§

Source§

impl CopyFailure

Source

pub const fn error(&self) -> &FsError

Returns the contextual filesystem error.

Source

pub const fn state(&self) -> CopyFailureState

Returns the publication state at failure.

Source

pub const fn partial_stats(&self) -> &CopyStats

Returns statistics accumulated before failure.

Source

pub const fn has_recovery(&self) -> bool

Returns whether a writer is available for recovery.

Source

pub fn recovery(&self) -> Option<&WriterRecovery>

Returns the recovery writer if retained.

Source

pub fn recovery_mut(&mut self) -> Option<&mut WriterRecovery>

Returns a mutable recovery writer if retained.

Source

pub fn take_recovery(&mut self) -> Option<WriterRecovery>

Takes ownership of the recovery writer when recovery responsibility remains with the caller.

Source

pub fn into_parts( self, ) -> (FsError, CopyFailureState, CopyStats, Option<WriterRecovery>)

Splits the failure into error, state, statistics, and writer recovery.

§Returns

The filesystem error, confirmed publication state, partial statistics, and optional writer retained for recovery.

Trait Implementations§

Source§

impl Debug for CopyFailure

Source§

fn fmt(&self, formatter: &mut Formatter<'_>) -> FmtResult

Formats safe failure facts without exposing a provider writer session.

Source§

impl Display for CopyFailure

Source§

fn fmt(&self, formatter: &mut Formatter<'_>) -> FmtResult

Formats the wrapped file-system error while keeping the recovery state intentionally separate.

Source§

impl Error for CopyFailure

Source§

fn source(&self) -> Option<&(dyn Error + 'static)>

Returns the underlying file-system error.

1.0.0 · Source§

fn description(&self) -> &str

👎Deprecated since 1.42.0:

use the Display impl or to_string()

1.0.0 · Source§

fn cause(&self) -> Option<&dyn Error>

👎Deprecated since 1.33.0:

replaced by Error::source, which can support downcasting
