pub struct Record {
pub entry_id: EntryId,
pub nonce: [u8; 24],
pub ciphertext: Vec<u8>,
}Expand description
One record in a payload: a per-record ciphertext together with the cleartext information that locates it.
§A record does not know whether it is an entry or a tombstone
The kind lives in the ciphertext (it is part of the AAD but not of the record
header), so not even the number of deletions in a sync is visible. The cost is that
opening a record tries both kinds; see the module documentation of record for the
trade-off.
It carries ciphertext only, never decrypted content, so Clone does not widen the
exposure of key material.
Fields§
§entry_id: EntryIdWhich entry this record belongs to.
nonce: [u8; 24]Random nonce used to encrypt this record.
ciphertext: Vec<u8>Ciphertext, including the 16-byte authentication tag.
