#[non_exhaustive]pub struct Metrics {
pub char_width: f32,
pub line_height: f32,
}Expand description
Bundled font metrics for one call to Backend::measure — the two
numbers (Backend::char_width and Backend::line_height) every
primitive’s *Measure type is actually built from. A primitive’s
XMeasure::from_metrics(&Metrics) constructor (see
crate::TextInputMeasure::from_metrics for the pattern) turns it
into that primitive’s own measure shape without the app touching
char_width / line_height by name.
#[non_exhaustive]: this is in-tree-only today (no external Backend
implementors construct it — only Backend::measure’s default body
does), but consumers (coord-tui, vimcode) do read the two public
fields, so a later field addition should stay source-compatible with
field-access call sites instead of becoming a silent breaking change.
Fields (Non-exhaustive)§
This struct is marked as non-exhaustive
Struct { .. } syntax; cannot be matched against without a wildcard ..; and struct update syntax will not work.char_width: f32Same value Backend::char_width returns.
line_height: f32Same value Backend::line_height returns.
