Enum Category

Source
pub enum Category {
    Config,
    Data,
    State,
    Cache,
}
Expand description

The four categories purple’s files fall into, following the XDG Base Directory split. Each resolves to its own directory; by default all four point at the legacy ~/.purple.

Variants§

§

Config

Files the user edits or syncs as dotfiles: preferences, snippets, providers, themes.

§

Data

Files that are important and not regenerable but not config: signed certificates and the original SSH config backup.

§

State

History, recents, activity ledgers, logs and retry markers.

§

Cache

Regenerable caches: the container cache and the version check.

Implementations§

Source§

impl Category

Source

pub const ALL: [Category; 4]

Source

pub fn purple_var(self) -> &'static str

The explicit purple override variable, e.g. PURPLE_CONFIG_DIR.

Source

pub fn xdg_var(self) -> &'static str

The XDG base directory variable, e.g. XDG_CONFIG_HOME.

Source

pub fn name(self) -> &'static str

Lowercase name for log lines.
