This is serialized with bincode and stored under the key “db_metadata”.

Fields

schema_version: u32

Schema version for compatibility checking.

embedding_dimension: EmbeddingDimension

Embedding dimension configured for this database.

Once set, this cannot be changed without recreating the database.

created_at: Timestamp

Timestamp when the database was created.

last_opened_at: Timestamp

Last time the database was opened (updated on each open).
