SimpleJobExecutor

Struct SimpleJobExecutor

Source
pub struct SimpleJobExecutor { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

A simple FIFO executor that bails on the first error.

This is the default job executor for the Context, but it is mostly pretty limited for a custom event loop.

To disable running promise jobs on the engine, see IdleJobExecutor.

Implementations§

Source§

impl SimpleJobExecutor

Source

pub fn new() -> Self

Creates a new SimpleJobExecutor.

Source

pub fn get_cancellation_token(&self) -> Arc<AtomicBool> ⓘ

Gets the cancellation token for this executor.

Setting the signal to true will exit the inner event loop and stop executing any pending jobs.

Source

pub fn run_jobs_with_budget( self: Rc<Self>, context: &mut Context, budget: Duration, ) -> JsResult<()>

Runs jobs until the budget expires between jobs.

Unstarted jobs remain queued in their original order. A single job cannot be preempted. Native async jobs already being polled must finish before this call returns: their futures borrow the context, so dropping them at a slice boundary would cancel work. Promise jobs continue to run while those futures are pending, retaining the ordinary executor’s ability to resolve promises awaited by native async jobs.

Calling run_jobs without this method retains the unbounded drain.

Source

pub fn has_pending_jobs(&self, context: &Context) -> bool

Whether jobs can make progress immediately.

Future clock jobs and finalization cleanup alone do not count.

Source

pub fn next_job_timeout(&self, context: &Context) -> Option<Duration>

Time until the next uncancelled timeout or interval.

Source

pub fn executed_job_count(&self) -> u64

Number of jobs started, including native async jobs.
