Enum Scheme

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub enum Scheme { Http, Https, Ftp, Socks, All, }
Expand description

Request scheme a proxy setting applies to (ProxyMode::Manual per_scheme key). Not ProxyScheme (how to talk to the proxy).

Concrete schemes always beat Scheme::All. On Windows/socks=, GNOME (only SOCKS configured → All), and macOS (SOCKSEnable fallback), readers may already have copied SOCKS into other slots before a ProxyMode exists.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

Http

http:// requests.

§

Https

https:// requests.

§

Ftp

ftp:// requests.

§

Socks

SOCKS / catch-all on some platforms.

§

All

Bare ProxyServer / all_proxy catch-all.

Implementations§

Source§

impl Scheme

Source

pub const ALL: [Scheme; 5]

All schemes this crate models, in a stable order.

Source

pub fn as_str(self) -> &'static str

The canonical lowercase name, as used by Windows ProxyServer keys.

Source

pub fn from_name(name: &str) -> Option<Scheme>

Parse a scheme key such as http in http=proxy:8080.

None for unmodelled keys (gopher, …). all is accepted (see parse::proxy_server).
