Variants

Cancelled

The request was in flight and has been aborted.

Ignored

Nothing was cancelled: the id was never issued, had already finished, or was already cancelled.

Not an error. The specification says a cancellation notification may arrive after its request has finished, so this is a race the sender is entitled to lose and the notification is defined to be harmless.
