ScriptedSystem

Struct ScriptedSystem

Source
pub struct ScriptedSystem { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

A three-dimensional ODE dp/dt = f(p, t) whose f is a Rhai script.

Implementations§

Source§

impl ScriptedSystem

Source

pub fn compile(source: &str) -> Result<Self, ScriptedError>

Compile a script from source text.

Source

pub fn load(path: impl AsRef<Path>) -> Result<Self, ScriptedError>

Load and compile a script file, remembering the path for reload_if_changed.

Source

pub fn source(&self) -> &str

The source the system is running.

Source

pub fn path(&self) -> Option<&Path>

The file it was loaded from, if any.

Source

pub fn reload_if_changed(&mut self) -> Result<bool, ScriptedError>

Recompile from the file if it changed on disk since the last load.

Returns Ok(true) when the new script is now running and Ok(false) when nothing changed. If the new version does not compile, or does not return a vector, the error comes back and the previous script keeps running, so a half-typed edit never stops the animation.

Source

pub fn derivative(&self, p: Vec3, t: f32) -> Result<Vec3, ScriptedError>

dp/dt at state p and time t.

Source

pub fn rk4_step(&self, p: Vec3, t: f32, dt: f32) -> Result<Vec3, ScriptedError>

One classic fourth-order Runge-Kutta step of size dt from time t, the same integrator as attractors::rk4_step.

impl<T> Downcast for T
where T: Any,

Source§

fn into_any(self: Box<T>) -> Box<dyn Any>

Convert Box<dyn Trait> (where Trait: Downcast) to Box<dyn Any>. Box<dyn Any> can then be further downcast into Box<ConcreteType> where ConcreteType implements Trait.
Source§

fn into_any_rc(self: Rc<T>) -> Rc<dyn Any>

Convert Rc<Trait> (where Trait: Downcast) to Rc<Any>. Rc<Any> can then be further downcast into Rc<ConcreteType> where ConcreteType implements Trait.
Source§

fn as_any(&self) -> &(dyn Any + 'static)

Convert &Trait (where Trait: Downcast) to &Any. This is needed since Rust cannot generate &Any’s vtable from &Trait’s.
Source§

fn as_any_mut(&mut self) -> &mut (dyn Any + 'static)

Convert &mut Trait (where Trait: Downcast) to &Any. This is needed since Rust cannot generate &mut Any’s vtable from &mut Trait’s.
