pub fn read_to_string() -> Result<String>

Reads the raw YAML contents of the configuration file and returns them as a String.

Ensures:

• The file exists (creates from embedded default if necessary).
• Parent directory is created on-demand.

pub fn load() -> Result<Self>

Loads the configuration from disk and deserialises it into a typed Config struct.

Fails if YAML is syntactically invalid or cannot be read.

pub fn save(&self) -> Result<()>

Persists the current Config instance to disk in YAML form.

Creates/updates config.yml.bak before overwriting the primary file to guard against accidental data loss.

pub fn edit() -> Result<()>

Opens the configuration file in the user’s preferred editor ($EDITOR → fallback to nano/notepad).

Before editing a backup is created as config.yml.bak.
