#[non_exhaustive]pub enum IslandingPolicy {
Forbidden,
Allowed,
}Expand description
Whether the final topology may split an AC island of the initial topology. An AC island is a set of energized buses joined by in-service branches; HVDC lines do not join islands, and a bus with no in-service branch is an island of its own.
Under either policy the initial topology’s own islands are not a fault: a base network that already has several islands accepts its initial status vector. Under either policy a final topology is refused when it leaves a bus that an in-service generator supplied initially in an island with no in-service generator, because opening branches does not shed load or de-energize buses.
Variants (Non-exhaustive)§
This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Forbidden
No island of the initial topology may split: the buses of each initial island stay in one island. The final topology may have fewer islands than the initial one, because closing a branch can join them, and islands that are separate initially may stay separate.
Allowed
Islands may split. Each final island gets one reference bus and keeps every load; no load is shed, and a feasible dispatch is not implied.
