Message authored by the assistant/model.

Wrapped in Arc for cheap cloning during streaming – the streaming hot-path emits many events per token and Arc::make_mut gives O(1) copy-on-write when the refcount is 1.

ToolResult(Arc<ToolResultMessage>)

Tool result produced by the host after executing a tool call.

Wrapped in Arc for cheap cloning – tool results often contain large file contents from the read tool and are cloned multiple times during event dispatch and session persistence.

Custom(CustomMessage)

Host/extension-defined message type.
