pub fn new( alpha_per_us: f64, beta_per_us: f64, widths: TchWidths, tail_log: f64, ) -> Result<Self, TofError>

Prepare a unit-area profile. Both exponential tails are truncated at exp(-tail_log) and renormalized before convolution.

§Errors

Returns TofError for invalid rates, widths, tail cutoff, or quadrature normalization.
