Target column metadata used by the sink to cast values.

Fields

name: String

type_name: String

Declared type with modifiers, e.g. character varying(80); for comparison with the source and for messages.

cast_type: String

Type without modifiers, e.g. character varying, used in $n::type casts. An explicit cast to a modified type (::varchar(80), ::numeric(12,2)) silently truncates or rounds; casting to the base type lets the column’s own assignment rules apply, which raise an error for values that do not fit, as COPY does.

generated: bool

identity_always: bool

GENERATED ALWAYS AS IDENTITY: cannot be assigned by UPDATE, never changes on the source.
