Variants

Negotiating

Asking the relay whether the publisher offers direct, and opening the control link.

Discovering

Learning this endpoint’s public address and requesting a session grant.

Punching

Dialing the publisher through both NATs.

Committing

The path is up; the publisher is opening its local service.
