pub struct Hints {
pub read_only: bool,
pub destructive: bool,
pub idempotent: bool,
pub open_world: bool,
}Expand description
What a host may assume about a tool, sent as MCP tool annotations: hints for the host and the user, never guarantees. The defaults are MCP’s: a tool may change things, destructively, not idempotently, and reach beyond the module.
Fields§
§read_only: boolChanges nothing.
destructive: boolMay delete or overwrite; meaningful only when not read-only.
idempotent: boolCalling it again with the same arguments changes nothing more.
open_world: boolReaches beyond the module’s own data, such as the web.
