Expand description

What the host must already provide, by names the operating system defines, so a consumer can check before installing. Nothing here names another project or where to get it; see the specification’s Host requirements section.

Fields§

§os_min: Option<String>

Minimum OS version, in the OS’s own terms: 12 for macOS Monterey, 10.0.17763 for Windows.

§glibc_min: Option<String>

Minimum glibc for a gnu Linux build, such as 2.31.

§libs: Option<Vec<String>>

Shared libraries the executables load from the host, by the name the loader resolves: a soname (libssl.so.3), a DLL name (vcruntime140.dll), or a dylib name (libssl.3.dylib). Excludes the C runtime baseline that libc and glibc_min cover and any library the artifact ships itself. packslip create reads it from the executables; an empty list means they were read and need nothing, an absent one that nothing was checked.

§bin: Vec<RequiredBin>

Commands the executables run and cannot work without, by the bare name on PATH, with an optional minimum version. Declared by the vendor.

Implementations§

impl Requires

Source

pub fn is_empty(&self) -> bool

Source

pub fn summary(&self) -> String

One line for a report: os>=12; glibc>=2.31; libs libz.so.1; bin java>=17, with libs none for executables that were read and need nothing.
