FlowState

Struct FlowState

Source
pub struct FlowState {
    pub handle: u32,
    pub request_id: Option<RequestId>,
    pub report: Report,
    pub repair_limit: Option<OpNumber>,
}
Expand description

Correlated status response or coalesced same-epoch receipt notification.

Fields§

§handle: u32

Session-bound compact routing handle. Never reused during this process.

§request_id: Option<RequestId>

Present for a probe response; absent for an unsolicited same-epoch update.

§report: Report

Fixed-size, structurally checked accounting; exact history validation remains.

§repair_limit: Option<OpNumber>

Repair ceiling: a held PUB predecessor or current receipt during live progress. None permits normal catch-up through the correlated probe’s tail.

Implementations§

Source§

impl FlowState

Source

pub fn validate_response(self, probe: FlowProbe) -> Result<(), WireError>

Match the currently outstanding probe before considering an epoch change.

The adapter authenticates peer/session, invalidates retired probes, verifies reported history, and applies its local retention bounds separately. This comparison alone never supplies a vote, disk evidence, or recovery authority.
