Expand description

Any failure an oxmera operation can report.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

ShapeMismatch

Two shapes were required to match and did not.

Fields

§expected: Shape

The shape the operation required.

§got: Shape

The shape it received.

§op: &'static str

The operation reporting the mismatch.

§

BroadcastIncompatible

Two shapes cannot broadcast together.

Fields

§lhs: Shape

Left operand shape.

§rhs: Shape

Right operand shape.

§

DTypeMismatch

Two dtypes were required to match and did not.

Fields

§expected: DType

The dtype the operation required.

§got: DType

The dtype it received.

§op: &'static str

The operation reporting the mismatch.

§

UnsupportedDType

An operation does not support a dtype at all.

Fields

§dtype: DType

The offending dtype.

§op: &'static str

The operation that cannot carry it.

§

DeviceMismatch

Operands live on different devices.

Fields

§lhs: Device

Left operand device.

§rhs: Device

Right operand device.

§op: &'static str

The operation reporting the mismatch.

§

IndexOutOfBounds

A logical index was outside a tensor’s bounds.

Fields

§index: Vec<usize>

The offending index.

§shape: Shape

The shape it was applied to.

§

RankMismatch

An index had the wrong number of dimensions for the shape.

Fields

§index_rank: usize

Rank of the supplied index.

§shape_rank: usize

Rank of the shape it was applied to.

§

BackendUnavailable

No backend is registered for a device.

Fields

§device: Device

The device with no backend.

§

InvalidArgument

An argument was structurally invalid for the operation.

Fields

§op: &'static str

The operation.

§detail: String

What was wrong with the argument.

§

Backend

A backend failed internally (driver error, shader compilation, …).

Fields

§op: &'static str

The operation.

§detail: String

The backend’s own description of the failure.

§

Io

An I/O failure while loading or saving tensors.

Fields

§op: &'static str

The operation.

§detail: String

The underlying error, rendered.

§

NotImplemented

The operation is not implemented for a combination of inputs.

Fields

§op: &'static str

The operation.

§detail: String

What combination is unsupported.
