Precision

Struct Precision

Source
pub struct Precision { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

Precision specification for arbitrary precision floats.

Specifies the number of bits in the mantissa (significand). Higher precision means more accurate results but slower computation.

Implementations§

Source§

impl Precision

Source

pub const DOUBLE: Precision

Double precision (53 bits, same as f64).

Source

pub const EXTENDED: Precision

Extended precision (64 bits, x86 extended precision).

Source

pub const QUAD: Precision

Quadruple precision (113 bits, IEEE 754 quad).

Source

pub const HIGH: Precision

High precision for SMT solving (256 bits).

Source

pub fn new(bits: u32) -> Self

Create a new precision specification.

§Arguments
  • bits - Number of bits for the mantissa (minimum 1)
§Example
use oxiz_math::mpfr::Precision;
let p = Precision::new(128); // 128-bit precision
Source

pub fn bits(&self) -> u32

Get the number of bits.
