AssocMap

Struct AssocMap

Source
pub struct AssocMap<K, V> { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

A simple association list map.

Provides O(n) lookup but is useful in contexts where the number of entries is small and allocation overhead should be minimal.

Implementations§

Source§

impl<K: PartialEq + Clone, V: Clone> AssocMap<K, V>

Source

pub fn new() -> Self

Create an empty association map.

Source

pub fn insert(&mut self, key: K, value: V)

Insert a key-value pair, replacing any existing entry for that key.

Source

pub fn get(&self, key: &K) -> Option<&V>

Look up a value by key.

Source

pub fn get_mut(&mut self, key: &K) -> Option<&mut V>

Look up a value by key (mutable).

Source

pub fn remove(&mut self, key: &K) -> Option<V>

Remove a key-value pair by key.

Source

pub fn contains_key(&self, key: &K) -> bool

Check if the map contains a key.

Source

pub fn len(&self) -> usize

Number of entries.

Source

pub fn is_empty(&self) -> bool

Check if the map is empty.

Source

pub fn iter(&self) -> impl Iterator<Item = &(K, V)>

Iterate over key-value pairs in insertion order.

Source

pub fn keys(&self) -> impl Iterator<Item = &K>

Iterate over keys in insertion order.

Source

pub fn values(&self) -> impl Iterator<Item = &V>

Iterate over values in insertion order.

Source

pub fn clear(&mut self)

Clear all entries.

Source

pub fn into_vec(self) -> Vec<(K, V)>

Convert to a Vec of key-value pairs.

Source

pub fn merge(&mut self, other: &AssocMap<K, V>)

Merge another map into this one (entries from other overwrite).

Source

pub fn retain<F>(&mut self, f: F)
where F: FnMut(&K, &V) -> bool,

Retain only entries satisfying the predicate.
