Enum DeferredValue

Source
pub enum DeferredValue<T> {
    Ready(T),
    Deferred {
        name: String,
    },
    Failed {
        error: String,
    },
}
Expand description

A value that may be either:

  • Already computed (Ready),
  • Deferred to be computed later (Deferred with a name tag),
  • Failed to compute (Failed with an error message).

Variants§

§

Ready(T)

The value is ready.

§

Deferred

The value is not yet computed; name identifies the computation.

Fields

§name: String
§

Failed

Computation failed with this error message.

Fields

§error: String

Implementations§

Source§

impl<T: Clone + Debug> DeferredValue<T>

Source

pub fn unwrap_ready(self) -> T

Unwrap a ready value, panicking if not ready.

Source

pub fn is_ready(&self) -> bool

Whether the value is ready.

Source

pub fn is_deferred(&self) -> bool

Whether the value is still deferred.

Source

pub fn is_failed(&self) -> bool

Whether the computation failed.

Source

pub fn map<U, F>(self, f: F) -> DeferredValue<U>
where F: FnOnce(T) -> U,

Map over a ready value.

Source

pub fn get(&self) -> Option<&T>

Get the ready value, if any.
