Implementations§

Source§

impl TextFieldAppearance

Source

pub fn generate_appearance_with_font( &self, widget: &Widget, value: Option<&str>, _state: AppearanceState, custom_font: Option<&Font>, ) -> Result<FieldAppearanceResult>

Generate the appearance honouring an optional pre-resolved custom (Type0/CID) font. Returns a FieldAppearanceResult carrying both the stream and any characters that the Type0 path consumed from the font (empty for the built-in path).

The caller is responsible for supplying custom_font when self.font == Font::Custom(_). If self.font is custom but custom_font is None, an explicit PdfError::EncodingError signals “font not registered on the Document” (a common user mistake distinct from the generator not supporting custom fonts).
