Expand description

Stable, value-redacted component-state validation failure.

No variant carries payload data: every field is a scalar identity or bound, mirroring StateError’s own redaction discipline.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

EmptyCodecId

A codec identifier was empty.

§

CodecIdTooLong

A codec identifier exceeded its UTF-8 byte limit.

Fields

§max_bytes: usize

Maximum accepted UTF-8 bytes.

§

ZeroCodecVersion

A codec version was zero.

§

NonIncreasingCodecUpgrade

A declared codec-version upgrade did not strictly increase the version.

§

TooLarge

A serialized value exceeded its configured byte limit.

Fields

§max_bytes: usize

Configured maximum bytes.

§

TooDeep

A serialized value exceeded its configured JSON depth.

Fields

§max_depth: usize

Configured maximum depth.

§

Malformed

The bytes were not a valid envelope payload.

§

SchemaMismatch

The envelope schema does not match the selected codec.

§

UnsupportedSchemaVersion

Durable data was produced by a newer application schema.

Fields

§found: u32

Version observed in durable data.

§current: u32

Current version supported by the selected codec.

§

NoSchemaUpgradePath

The codec declares no directed schema upgrade reaching its current version.

Fields

§found: u32

Version the chain stalled at.

§current: u32

Current version supported by the selected codec.

§

AmbiguousSchemaUpgrade

Two declared schema upgrades leave the same version.

Fields

§from: u32

Version left by more than one declared upgrade.

§

SchemaUpgradeOvershootsCurrent

A declared schema upgrade produces a version past the codec’s current version.

Fields

§to: u32

Version the rejected edge produces.

§current: u32

Current version supported by the selected codec.

§

SchemaUpgradeChainTooLong

The resolved schema-upgrade chain exceeded its bound.

Fields

§max_upgrades: usize

Most upgrades one decode may apply.

§

UnknownCodec

The envelope’s codec identity does not match the selected codec.

§

UnsupportedCodecVersion

Durable data was produced by a newer codec version.

Fields

§found: u32

Version observed in durable data.

§current: u32

Current version supported by the selected codec.

§

ExternalSchemaMigrationUnsupported

An older external payload cannot be migrated without resolving its out-of-band bytes.

Fields

§found: u32

Version recorded in the external envelope.

§current: u32

Current version supported by the selected codec.

§

ExternalCodecMigrationUnsupported

An older external payload cannot be migrated without resolving its out-of-band bytes.

Fields

§found: u32

Version recorded in the external envelope.

§current: u32

Current version supported by the selected codec.

§

NoCodecUpgradePath

The codec declares no directed codec-version upgrade reaching its current version.

Fields

§found: u32

Version the chain stalled at.

§current: u32

Current version supported by the selected codec.

§

AmbiguousCodecUpgrade

Two declared codec-version upgrades leave the same version.

Fields

§from: u32

Version left by more than one declared upgrade.

§

CodecUpgradeOvershootsCurrent

A declared codec-version upgrade produces a version past the codec’s current version.

Fields

§to: u32

Version the rejected edge produces.

§current: u32

Current version supported by the selected codec.

§

CodecUpgradeChainTooLong

The resolved codec-upgrade chain exceeded its bound.

Fields

§max_upgrades: usize

Most upgrades one decode may apply.

§

ChecksumAlgorithmUnsupported

The declared checksum algorithm identity/version is not supported.

Fields

§algorithm: u16

Algorithm identifier observed in durable data.

§version: u16

Algorithm version observed in durable data.

§

ChecksumMismatch

The computed checksum does not match the recorded checksum.

No decode and no migration were attempted.

§

ExternalReferenceMissing

The payload is an external reference that has not been resolved.

§

ExternalReferenceContentMismatch

Resolved external content did not match its declared content identity.

§

InvalidPayload

The application payload was not valid JSON.

§

PayloadNotObject

The application payload was valid JSON but not an object.

§

Codec(StateCodecError)

The application codec rejected the payload without exposing its value.
