HashBuilder

Struct HashBuilder

Source
pub struct HashBuilder { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

Fluent builder producing a boxed one-shot Hash instance.

Construct via one of the algorithm constructors (e.g. HashBuilder::sha256), then call build for a Box<dyn Hash>, or switch to streaming mode with streaming.

Implementations§

Source§

impl HashBuilder

Source

pub const fn new(algorithm: HashAlgorithm) -> Self

Begin building with an explicit HashAlgorithm.

Source

pub const fn sha256() -> Self

Select SHA-256.

Source

pub const fn sha384() -> Self

Select SHA-384.

Source

pub const fn sha512() -> Self

Select SHA-512.

Source

pub const fn sha512_256() -> Self

Select SHA-512/256.

Source

pub const fn sha3_256() -> Self

Select SHA3-256.

Source

pub const fn sha3_384() -> Self

Select SHA3-384.

Source

pub const fn sha3_512() -> Self

Select SHA3-512.

Source

pub const fn blake3() -> Self

Select BLAKE3.

Source

pub const fn algorithm(&self) -> HashAlgorithm

The algorithm currently selected.

Source

pub const fn streaming(self) -> StreamingHashBuilder

Switch to streaming mode, returning a StreamingHashBuilder.

Source

pub fn build(self) -> Box<dyn Hash>

Build a boxed one-shot Hash for the selected algorithm.
