Expand description

Configuration for an extractor: model, prompt version, mechanism. Hashes to an ExtractorId (§7.5). Only the registry MAJOR version invalidates the cache (D8); adding a predicate is a minor bump and does not force re-extraction.

Fields§

§model_id: String§prompt_version: u32§registry_major: u32§mechanism: ExtractMechanism§max_tokens: u32§model_digest: Option<String>

blake3 hex digest of the model weights. Changing weights must change the extractor id (§9.5) — a silent quality change would poison the extraction cache.

§provider_profile_id: Option<String>

Optional Foundation profile id (profiles.json::id) that bound the model when extraction ran. Folded into ExtractorConfig::id so cached summaries are invalidated when the role binding changes (Task 5, §13). None for the legacy compat env / explicit override path — the hash stays identical to the pre-Foundation config so existing caches continue to hit. The profile id is non-secret and is stored only in the cache half (extractor_id), never in any truth-half identifier; Keychain locators, display names, and wall-clock values are deliberately excluded.

Implementations§

Source§

impl ExtractorConfig

Source

pub fn id(&self) -> String

ExtractorId = blake3(model_id, prompt_version, registry_major, mechanism[, model_digest[, provider_profile_id]]). Only the MAJOR registry version invalidates the cache (D8). The model digest — when present — invalidates it on weight changes (§9.5). The Foundation profile id — when present — invalidates it when the role binding changes (Task 5, §13); absent profile id keeps the hash identical to the pre-Foundation config so legacy caches continue to hit.
