Chat message (OpenAI-compatible).

content is Option<String> so that it can be null when tool_calls is set (the model produced a tool call instead of a text reply).

Fields

role: String

Role of the message sender: "system", "user", "assistant", "tool".

content: Option<String>

Text content of the message. null when the assistant returns tool calls.

tool_calls: Option<Vec<ToolCallResult>>

Tool calls produced by the model (assistant role only).

tool_call_id: Option<String>

ID of the tool call being responded to (tool role only).
