Struct Color

Source
pub struct Color {
    pub r: f32,
    pub g: f32,
    pub b: f32,
    pub a: f32,
}
Expand description

sRGB color with straight (non-premultiplied) alpha, components in 0..=1.

Interpolation (Lerp) happens in OKLab.

Fields§

§r: f32

Red, 0..=1 (sRGB-encoded).

§g: f32

Green, 0..=1.

§b: f32

Blue, 0..=1.

§a: f32

Alpha (straight, not premultiplied), 0..=1.

Implementations§

Source§

impl Color

Source

pub const TRANSPARENT: Color

Fully transparent black.

Source

pub const BLACK: Color

Opaque black.

Source

pub const WHITE: Color

Opaque white.

Source

pub const fn rgb(r: f32, g: f32, b: f32) -> Self

Opaque color from 0..=1 components.

Source

pub const fn rgba(r: f32, g: f32, b: f32, a: f32) -> Self

Color from 0..=1 components with alpha.

Source

pub const fn from_rgba8(r: u8, g: u8, b: u8, a: u8) -> Self

Color from 0..=255 components.

Source

pub const fn from_hex(hex: &str) -> Option<Self>

Parses #rgb, #rgba, #rrggbb or #rrggbbaa (the # is optional).

Source

pub fn with_alpha(self, a: f32) -> Self

The same color with another alpha.

Source

pub fn to_rgba8(self) -> [u8; 4]

Components as 0..=255 bytes.

Source

pub fn to_oklab(self) -> [f32; 3]

Converts to OKLab [L, a, b], the space colors are interpolated in.

Source

pub fn contrast_ratio(self, other: Color) -> f32

WCAG contrast ratio against another color (1..=21). Alpha is ignored.

Source

pub fn luminance(self) -> f32

Relative luminance, 0..=1, used to decide whether a color is light.

Source

pub fn mix(self, other: Color, t: f32) -> Self

Mix in OKLab. t = 0 is self, t = 1 is other.

Source

pub fn readable_on(self, against: Color, min: f32) -> Self

The same hue, lightened or darkened until contrast against against reaches min (WCAG). Already-sufficient colors are returned unchanged.

Source

pub fn from_oklab([ll, a, b]: [f32; 3], alpha: f32) -> Self

Converts from OKLab [L, a, b].
